There have been several reported scams from tradesmen who request up front deposit and fail to deliver. The most recent story was of a 62yrs old pensioner who was fleeced out of almost £165,000 and gets just £152 in return. The so called builder exploited the vulnerable pensioner and performed task that were unnecessary.
